This Privacy Policy describes how Echo's Bot (also referred to as "εεBot") collects, uses, and protects your information when you interact with the bot on Discord.

The bot collects the following types of data:
/ask) and the corresponding GPT responses/setrole/language (Simplified Chinese / Traditional Chinese / English / Japanese)/mycard (also accessible via /hellohowareyou or the εεζζ―θ° message trigger), including nickname, pronouns, bio, location/timezone, linked game accounts (Steam, Nintendo, PlayStation), and an optional "showcased" gacha item displayed on your cardMessage reading scope & opt-out: The bot only reads message content to detect the "εε" keyword trigger or explicit command invocations; all other messages are ignored and never stored. You can fully opt out of keyword responses at any time with the /trigger command.
Public leaderboards (The Wall of Fortune): Your daily fortune check-in statistics, together with your Discord display name and username, may be shown on a public, server-visible leaderboard ("θΏεΏε’ / The Wall of Fortune") to other members of the same server. Leaderboards are per-server β only that server's members' data is shown within that server. You can hide your identity on the public leaderboard at any time using the anonymity toggle shown with your fortune result; once hidden, your name and username are replaced with an anonymous placeholder. Other features may display only non-personal, aggregate totals (for example, server-wide or global counts of how many times a command has been used), which are not linked to any individual.
Shareable profile cards: Using the π€ Share button on your profile card (opened via /mycard, /hellohowareyou, or the εεζζ―θ° message trigger), the bot can compose your profile information β your self-provided card fields, your Discord display name and avatar, your showcased gacha item, and (optionally) your current day's fortune snapshot β into a single image. This image is generated on demand and held only briefly in the server's memory (a short-lived cache); it is not stored on disk. The preview is shown only to you by default β the card is made visible to others only if you choose to post it to a channel yourself.
Website analytics: This website uses GoatCounter for anonymous, aggregate visit statistics (page views, referrer, country, device type). GoatCounter does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information.
Collected data is stored as follows:
/ask for 30 days, your stored conversation history and summary are automatically deleted. You can also delete them at any time with /reset./language or request deletion./dailyfact. This data is cleared when the bot restarts.Data is used solely for the following purposes:
Your conversation input is transmitted to OpenAI's API for generating responses, and is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy. Message content is sent solely to generate responses; the developer does not use it to train any machine learning or AI models.
In addition, certain commands send query requests to the following third-party services. These requests may include search terms or command options you provide, but do not include personal profile data:
/aww command (fetches public hot posts from curated animal-themed subreddits; only non-NSFW, non-stickied posts are used) and /dailyfact (fetches public top posts from r/todayilearned and r/mildlyinteresting; only non-NSFW posts are used)/steam command/neodb and /roll media commands/bangumi and /roll media commands/roll wiki command and /dailyfact (fetches article summaries and thumbnails from the Wikipedia REST API)/dailyfact command (fetches public RSS feed entries from futilitycloset.com)/trivia command/moewiki and /roll moewiki commands/art command (fetches random open-access artworks; no user-provided input is sent)No personal data is sold or shared with any third party beyond what is described above. All other data is stored on a single access-controlled private server operated by the developer.
You may request deletion of your stored data as follows:
/reset command at any time. Conversation histories and summaries also expire automatically after 30 days of inactivity (see Section 2)./resettrivia command at any time./language command. It is not cleared by /reset; to have it deleted, contact the developer directly (see Section 8).Echo's Bot is provided "as is." While reasonable efforts are made to protect your data, the developer does not guarantee complete security and is not liable for any unintended data loss or exposure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. You are advised to review it periodically. Continued use of the bot after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
